If you cannot afford the full service, for example: You've saved up for a while, fill out whatever you want, I get started- and it turns out you're late on rent, but you've already paid half and you need it to pay?You will be refunded, however I will not be continuing my work unless you're sure you'll be okay. How to commision someone!________- You don't know how to ask for a commission? No worries, I'll give you the gist.1. Figure out what you want!
In order for you to get exactly what you asked for, you need to be prepared for questioning; I usually ask for references, a colour pallette, and whatever prompt or descriptions you need to add for details..Just make sure your wants are communicated clearly, please.2. Establish some kind of time frame that you want your piece done by.
I don't necessarily feel stress or burdened by a time limit, which is why I recommend it - the only requirement is to be reasonable, I'm a person, not a mindless machine that draws for you... that goes for any other artist you commision, too, y'know?3. When I send progress, review it as you please.
It helps let me know if there is anything you want to change or if there's something wrong, and etc.4. Annd, that's pretty much it! Know what you want, the time you want it done by, edit if needed, and.. be polite.
